How
do I Install Eutelsat Hot bird 1?
It is important to choose the right dish size, depending on where you are in Europe, Africa or the Middle east.
See the footprint for the satellite to choose the right size, for example, in Denmark a 0.9m dish is used. Contact
your local dish supplier regarding the size of the dish.
If the receiving site in question is outside the footprint, you can try with a larger dish, 2000KM East of Moscow
a 3.2m Dish is used to receive Tenfore on Eutelsat Hot Bird 1 13° RTL7, with a fair result, meaning that it's
not guaranteed but might be possible.
It is very important that the dish is mounted to a stable pole. Even a small gust of wind will affect the dish
with a great force. It is likewise important that the dish has a free sight, meaning no trees or other obstacles
in front of the dish, the dish must be in a position to "see" the satellite in a straight line.
Snow and rain can affect the reception of the Tenfore signal. If possible choose a larger dish and thereby compensate
for possible bad weather conditions. |
