When you are running Quotespeed on the Net, you are connecting directly with our servers. 2) How cost-effective is this product? The Internet is a very cost-effective way to receive real-time market data. For those who already have a PC, modem and ISP, there are no start-up costs. 3) How do I choose between a dedicated phone line, satellite, or Internet? We recommend that you discuss with a sales representative your business and trading environment in order to determine which service meets your needs. Send an e-mail to tenfore@fluxdebourse.com We will send you a customer subscription and exchange agreements which need to be signed and returned. You will receive an e-mail from us outlining the final details to set up your account, and a second e-mail with the PASSWORDS. 5) How reliable is the Internet to deliver real-time market data? The Internet provides an amazingly accurate and reliable service. For many people, the internet will be affordable, accurate way to receive our real-time data. By choosing the Internet as your delivery method, you have selected the "information superhighway". And, just as any public highway can have "traffic jams", the Internet can also experience the unpredictable. Any disruptions in service as a result of Internet traffic is not within our control-it is the result of choosing a public access route. Therefore, there are some business environments where having a dedicated phone line or satellite is necessary based on the level of risk and activities involved. Today a satellite-reception is about 50 times more reliable and stable than an internet-reception. 6) What is the difference between a web-based application and an Internet-based application? Quotespeed on the Net is an Internet-based application.You do not use a browser to access Quotespeed on the Net; to run this service you connect directly from your PC to our server via the Internet. The software, or application, will downloaded to your PC from our home page prior to running ComStock on the Net. However we also have Quotespeed on the Net as a web-based product. It is in fact the same product but accessible through a browser. This enables you to work with MAC and you don't have to download software anymore. 7) What do I have to do when I have a firewall installed? If you have a Firewall installed in your office please make sure that Port TCP/18247 is enabled for Quotespeed to connect to the Internet. If your not sure on how to do this please contact your Administrator. |
